Harnessing The Power Of Collective Intelligence To Increase The Value

One of the most important keys to having a Web 2.0 blog on the internet today is the two-way conversation that takes place between the blogger who is communicating a certain message, and the reader who is encouraged to contribute their input and opinions. This is a much different approach than that of traditional websites prior to the increased emphasis on social media online, since the conversation that took place between readers and writers was very much one-sided.

With today's websites and blogs there is a greater emphasis on community collaboration and collective intelligence of groups of readers and commenters, instead of the traditional path which has been to simply convey a certain message without any reader interaction. A good example of collective intelligence being used on a website is the concept of a wiki site, where readers may log in and create new pages on the site or they may edit existing pages.

Collective intelligence in this kind of a Web 2.0 fashion can also be used to create more value with your blog. The primary way that this can happen is that you simply have the website open for comments from readers, and this is a normal function that should be expected in most of the regular blogging platforms or content management systems. But the way that you can take this a step further is to encourage you readers to sign up as members so that they will return multiple times and leave multiple comments.

Certain types of widgets or add-ons for blogging software can put an increased emphasis on the community and commenting aspects of a blog, doing things such as creating a poll where you must be logged in to vote or showing a list of who the most active commenters are. When you decide to use your blog not only to convey information to your readers but to put an active emphasis on those who sign up as registered members, many of your members will begin to interact with each other.

This is a great example of how collective intelligence can increase the value of your blog, since you will now have a group of dedicated return readers who will actively participate in the discussion that you create using your blog posts. Not only will you have a group of people who regularly check back for new content, but they will also be adding content to your blog themselves and continuing to increase the value in that way as well.

Lead Generation : Build Your Own List to Generate Quality Leads

If you are really serious about generating high quality leads, you should think about creating your own marketing list instead of buying from online companies. Here's how you can do that:

1. Traffic.

The first thing that you need to do is to drive enormous traffic to your website. Doing this may take some time and energy but you can be assured that it will worth it. Start by optimizing your web content and building inbound links so your site will come up prominently on relevant searches. Then, promote your site through blogging, forum posting, article marketing, video marketing, and social media marketing.

2. Opt-in Forms.

Make sure that you put enticing opt-in forms on all pages of your website. You can also use those floating opt-in forms that will usually come up before your visitors leave your site. Do not ask for too much information. Names and contact information are enough.

3. Communicate Benefits.

Create a page within your website where you can discuss the benefits that your potential clients can get once they sign up with you. For easy reading, I recommend that you list them in bullet points. It would help if you can put testimonials of your other subscribers.

4. Freebies.

Online users will most likely to share their name and email address with you if they are getting something in return. Offer them with free eBooks, Newsletters, or reports. You can also invite them to attend your Teleseminars for free. Make sure that your freebies speak volumes about your expertise to easily earn the trust and confidence of these people.

Appearance and Maximize The Layout of Your Blog

There's a lot of advice out there about how to get traffic to come to your blog. Much of it, however, fails to cover one vital point. The appearance and layout of your blog can mean the difference between drawing visitors in and inviting them to read on, or having them disengage and click the back button. Think about it, what will be the first thing your visitors will notice on your blog? No matter how beautifully you've written your content, if the look and layout of your blog creates confusion or detachment, the chances of them sticking around to read it will be slim.

There are certainly no set rules as to what makes for a good looking blog. That said there are a number of points to keep in mind when considering your blog's look.

Never underestimate the power of simplicity. Flashy and extravagant themes can look quite impressive, but if they don't mesh perfectly with your targeted reader's mindset, they can cause distraction. A simple theme that's easy on the eyes is often a safer bet. Also, leaving ample white space in the margins or alongside photos will give breathing-room to your reader's eyes, and keep them from feeling overwhelmed.

Pay good mind to what draws in your attention when you open the page. I can't count how many blogs I've opened only to have eyes snap to some advertisement or several bolded texts competing for my attention. Very unappealing. Don't make the title stick out like a sore thumb, but make it tastefully noticeable, and let it lead naturally to the body of your post.

Choose a theme that gives you blog a clear structure. Make sure that the content is clearly defined and not easily confused with the links and ads on your blog. Add in photos at natural breaking points between ideas. Try not to ever leave your readers searching for where they need to go to continue reading.

Consider subtitle details that can enhance the readers' experience. For blogs that cover multiple points (5 Little Surprises That Your Girlfriend Will Adore You For, for example) you could find a different font for the topic lines, and make it more stylistic than the body text. Experiment with different colors to make your links more appealing. Anything that shows that you've spent the extra effort to make a good impression will ring out with quality and make a lasting impression.

Making Original Image as Important as Original Content Which Relevant Necessary

Yes. The answer to the title's question is an affirmative. When search engines crawl through a new blog post, it too sees the image for its description, not necessarily its appearance. What an image is named, in particular, what it is coded with alt text oralt tag is quite important.

Alt Tags Explained

Many people believe blogging is all about content. And, they are correct. But it's not only about the content an Internet user sees in their browser, but the content search engine spiders seeing when crawling over a new post. Bloggers should know this about blog tags: they do help search engines to pinpoint relevant material when asked. But the images associated with that content should be complementary-adding to or completing the text. That's where alt tags in the HTML code are useful.

For example, an image of a search engine spider should appear with a like description in the alternative attribute like "search engine spider". This allows a search engine to pick-up the image by description as it cannot see the rendition.

Original Images

When creating a post for a personal blog, for a guest submission to another blog or for freelance sale, use original images when possible. And name/rename images appropriate to the material in the post. Using the above image of a search engine looking through a magnifying glass at a spider. The image and content would have nothing to do with one another. It would confuse both readers and search engines.

Original content is lacking without proper images. But the image itself must be named to fit the content. The name of the image in a post must be relevant to the text. So a post about gluing fabric to scrapbook pages should have an image of fabric and a scrapbook or a post about the price of gasoline and downward sticky pricing should contain an image of a gas station price board/sign.

Size Matters

Blog image sizing is also important to making the post attractive. While search engines only know the raw dimensions of the image, readers will see how it impacts the text. Too large and the post's text becomes de-emphasised. Too small and the reader must squint to take in the details. An image shouldn't be a distraction. Some take advantage of eye candy to get attention. Readers will quickly abandon a blog that promises information on one subject but uses deceptive images to rack-up clicks.

When it comes to images in a blog post remember these cardinal rules: name the image for what it is, not "image1.jpg". Make good use of the alt tag/alt text and size the image so it fits in a neat proportion with the text.

Which One to Choose From? And, What Are DoFollow and NoFollow Blog?

You might have heard about increasing Google page rank with DoFollow Blogs. Before going into how such blogs and websites can help you in increasing your blog or website page rank, lets throw some light on the concept behind DoFollow and NoFollow.

NoFollow is the relationship attribute for hyperlinks in HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). HTML is responsible for rendering web pages in web browsers. These attributes tells search engine bots either to follow/crawl the associated Hyperlink or not.

Consider the following commonly used markup for a hyperlink:

<b><a target="_new" rel="nofollow" href="yoursite.com/your-post">Your Website</a></b>

Above markup corresponds to a DoFollow link, which means the resulting link will be followed by Search Engine Spiders.

Now, If we put a NoFollow relationship attribute in this markup, the resulting link will not be followed by Search Engine Spiders:

<b><a target="_new" rel="nofollow" href="yoursite.com/your-post">rel="nofollow"</em>><b>Your Website</b></a></b>

Note: DoFollow is neither a word nor an HTML attribute, it's just a name given to Blogs or Links, which don't implement NoFollow attributes.

Some people think, using:

<b><em><a rel="dofollow"></em></b> or <b><a rel="follow"></b> with a particular Hyperlink, makes the link followed by Search Engine Bots, but such attributes doesn't exists in reality. Using such wrong attributes may cause a link to appear as SPAM to Search Engine Bots. If you want to make a link followed/crawled (DoFollow), simply don't use any type of relationship attribute with it.

Also Inbound or Internal Links are the Hyperlinks present in a particular page of your Blog/Website, which points to other Posts/Pages present within your Blog/Website, whereas Outbound or External Links are the Hyperlinks present in a particular page of your Blog/Website, which points to Posts/Pages of some other Blog/Website.

Now, it is quite understandable that blogs and websites using no relation attributes in their links are DoFollows.

So, does a DoFollow Blog increases Google PageRank of your website?

People, especially Webmasters, usually search for DoFollow blogs with high PageRank (PR) to submit comments on articles there. It's a basic link-building strategy. Also, Webmasters makes their blog DoFollow in order to increase responses and traffic.

If you're commenting honestly after reading an article, that's fine, but what if you're the one whose own blog is DoFollow? It is a firm belief among Bloggers and Webmasters all over the globe, that DoFollow links may PASS the Google Juice of a blog/page (Decrease PageRank).

Bloggers and webmasters have complete control over allowing or restricting Hyperlink to be followed by Search Engine Bots, in there Posts and Pages. But when it comes to comments, it is the back end (template of the blog), which controls the link relationship behavior (which is nofollow by default). But, It can also be modified by means of some advanced editing or plugin usage.

Here are some Pros and Cons of having a DoFollow Blog:

Pros/Advantages of Having a DoFollow Blog:
  • More comments.
  • Increased traffic. Hence, increased number of Pageviews and Ad Revenue
  • Number of RSS Feed Subscriber will increase dramatically, as they always want to follow your Blog Updates and Comment on them.
  • The blog might get a place in DoFollow Blog Directories and Lists.

Cons/Disadvantages of Having a DoFollow Blog:
  • Increased number of SPAM comments.
  • Less honest responses.
  • The link juice of a particular page will be distributed to outbound or external links (which are present in the comments), hence causing (severe) loss in PR.
  • Opportunity for selling Text Link Advertisements will be greatly reduced, as the advertiser will be using the Comment Area of your Blog for getting Backlinks for FREE.

Tip: Do not use rel="nofollow" in your inbound links.

How to know if a blog is DoFollow or NoFollow?

Some people announce in their blog posts about the DoFollow nature of their blog, and sometimes they are even able to invite comments on a totally Useless Article.

In order to determine whether a blog is DoFollow or NoFollow in nature, pick up a name of someone who already commented there, view source of that web page and find that name, now see whether the hyperlink tag contains rel="nofollow" or not, if not it's a DoFollow Blog. You can also use Highlight NoFollow links Add-On for Mozilla Firefox to figure out NoFollow links on a blog without even viewing the source.

What should I choose: DoFollow or NoFollow?

A NoFollow Blog is acceptable when you give priority to honest reviews/comments and PR juice first. Those who want more comments as well as traffic (hence increased AdSense and other Ad Network revenue) may use DoFollow blogs on their own risk.

What I prefer: I don't think a DoFollow blog is going to bring you popularity. You can test yourself: Your most of the Top/Regular Commentator will be permanently GONE as soon as you switch your Blog Comment Area to NOFOLLOW.

So, if you're in the Blogosphere to make Good Audience/Loyal Visitors, I will highly recommend you to switch to a NOFOLLOW Blog. Hardly, anyone would like to lose his/her PR.
But then it's completely your own decision.

Stuck for Ideas and Take A Look Around You for Inspiration

Blogs have come along way in the last decade, from websites that were used solely for people to upload their thoughts to the internet to to resources that are being used by businesses all around the world.

While many businesses hire a business blogging agency to carry out all of their blogging needs, some businesses prefer to give blogging a go themselves, either as a continual project or after they've had some initial blogging work carried out by an agency.

One of the problems that many businesses face is a lack of inspiration when it comes to producing content. It's difficult to find members of staff who are interested in blogging and who would produce content or provide ideas on a regular basis and if business blogging is only playing a small part of your overall role, finding the time to come up with ideas for regular posts can be challenging.

It's not impossible, however and the one thing you have to remember is that inspiration can be found all around you, with the following three points providing some food for thought.

1. Your Business
You should never forget the fact that people are naturally interested and intrigued by others and therefore although you shouldn't be constantly talking about your own business in every post, you're likely to find that you get a great reaction every now and again if you provide information on your business, be it your staff or your future aims.

2. The Industry
Just because your business blog has been developed to provide past, present and potential customers with information relating to your business, it doesn't mean that all you should ever talk about is this and as long as your posts are on topic, your readers are very likely to continue to return time and time again.

Therefore, writing about your industry can be a great idea as it has almost limitless possibilities, from what products are new and coming soon to some interesting stories from the industry's past.

3. Customer
When you're stuck for inspiration for your business blog posts, one of the best ways to get ideas is to reach out to your target audience and ask them what they'd like to hear you talk about.

It might be an answer to a question some of your customers have about your products or it could involve you providing information on the history of your company, but irrelevant of what it is, you can guarantee that at least a certain amount of your readers will be particularly interested in the topic.

It can be difficult finding inspiration for your blog posts, which is one of the reasons why many businesses outsource their business blogging. Should you be looking to produce a blog post or two of your own for your business but are struggling for ideas, however, it's more often than not simply a case of looking and what's around you.

Presenting Blog Content Readers Will Appreciate

When preparing any blog content your first priority is to maintain relevance to the theme of the site. Of equal if not greater importance however is the way in which it is delivered since this will help make any update more interesting to read. Your blog posting not only needs to deliver quality content but also get people more involved in what they are viewing. Much like advertising if your blog posting does not grab and hold a persons attention everybody loses.

5 things you always want your updates to accomplish in order to make them more interesting to read are as follows:

1.  Be Engaging

Whenever you can try to present your updates in a conversational manner that will better serve to engage your readers. Even the best quality content can be boring if it is presented in a clinical manner. Share what you have to say in the same way you would speak it and in most cases this will make it more interesting to read.

2.  Get to the Point

Don't use more words than you need to convey your point but instead make your point as early as you can with the body of the text people are viewing. Many people quite simply will not view the entire blog posting if they are not made aware relatively quickly what its intent may be. Give viewers a reason or motivation to read deeper into what you have posted or they are likely gone.

3.  Create an Easy Read

Speak to be understood and not to impress while also using a layout that is easy to follow! Visitors land on your blog to be entertained and informed but not to be challenged. If they do not understand the meaning of the words you use or they find your format difficult to navigate you will be wasting their time and yours.

4.  Enlighten Readers

As it was implied above always strive to make each update interesting to read from the standpoint of offering useful information! It can be late breaking news, insight from personal experience or thought provoking comments and/or statements but make your update useful in some way.

5.  Encourage Feedback

By asking for comments readers will feel more a part of the process and a greater sense of community while you stand to benefit from their valuable feedback. This feedback of course will then help you to make improvements from which your readers ultimately benefit as well. Their comments are also extremely useful in helping you serve up the type of quality content they want to see.

Obviously you want your blog content to be on the 'mark' in terms of relevancy to the theme of the site. It is just as important however that your blog posting accomplishing the 5 things discussed above in order to make it more interesting to read.
Offering quality content should always be your primary objective but if you do not present it properly many may never even read what you composed. The suggestions above focus more on the presentation of your blog posting however the quality continues to remain your responsibility.

Guidelines to Increase Blog Readability

Blogging is about conveying information or sharing your thoughts online with the use of texts, images, videos and many other forms of media. First, you want to make sure that your blog post is enticing enough to attract readers to view your post. Secondly, you also want to make sure your blog is as clear and readable as possible for your readers to get the message that you are trying to convey.

There are some strategies where you can basically increase your blog post readability and ultimately increase your followers and readers online. Here are some of the guidelines that you want to consider when creating a blog post that is worth reading:

-  First Impressions Matter.

It may sound cliché but even on blogs the first few sentences have to be really impressive and interesting to entice your readers to read all the way to the end. This boils down to having an attention-grabbing headline followed by an engaging first couple of sentences. You can achieve this by starting with a question, a quote or anecdote, an analogy or any interesting facts.

-  Mind Your Blog Format.

Your blog should be presented in a way that is pleasing to the eyes and enhance the flow of reading. Unlike books, blogs must contain shorter paragraphs. Long paragraphs will make it look really boring. You can add images, lists, subheadings and simple fonts to increase readability. Stay away from fancy fonts. If you want your blog to be more readable always stick to light backgrounds with darker text. Headings and subheadings are also important to make it easier for readers to follow the course in your blog.

-  Don't compromise quality of content over the use of keywords for SEO.

Never stuff your blog content with keywords. Remember, your priority is to impress the human eyes and not the Google bots. You want your blog to read and sound naturally.

-  Your content must support and justify your title.

Your title must accurately reflect what you are trying to convey in your blog post. There is nothing more annoying than to have a title that is not related to your content. In short, you must deliver whatever promise you made in your title. Don't just create a stunning headline to stir interest and controversy, and yet talk about something else in the content.

-  Determine your writing style and make it interesting.

Every writer should have their own signature writing style. It may be quite difficult to determine this at first if you are just starting but later on you should be able to establish your own unique writing that will set you apart and give your blog an identity. You can either choose to become comical, animated and sarcastic, among other things.

Creating a killer blog may not happen overnight, but implementing the above guidelines consistently will surely get you there. You will notice that your blog is better than the last and before you know it, you are already a superstar blogger that everyone raves about.

Developing a Strong Blog Foundation

Developing a strong blog foundation serves to give your site a unique identity which is typically a reflection of your personality. Of course the best way to do this is by creating content that best reflects you as a person while also accomplishing certain objectives as well. In doing so you present a blogging platform that is easier for viewers to identify with and develop a loyalty towards.

Since the unique identity you want to establish will result from what you post here are 3 things you want to mindful of when creating content for your site.

Be You

Show your personality or present yourself in a way in which you are comfortable. Blogging is a long term process and people will become attracted to and accustom with your delivery style. Along those lines it is equally important that you can and will maintain the same 'style' of delivery as well. You must be comfortable in your 'own' skin that's why using your own personality works best. This alone will give you the unique identity you want after all, there is only one you or so I'll assume.

Show Attitude

When appropriate to the content do not be afraid to voice your opinion. People will appreciate this whether they agree with you or not since most everybody has got an interest in what others are thinking. This is a great way to engage the readers on your blogging platform and get a reaction. Whether they agree or disagree is immaterial since this leads to a greater level of interactivity which helps create and maintain a sense of community. In this way the people are coming together and bonding on your site and this is exactly what you want.

Teach, Entertain, Provoke

Creating content that increases the knowledge of your readers or otherwise enlightens them makes you more valuable to them and them more loyal to you. Even if it is merely a thought provoking statement that 'stirs the pot' a bit you want to 'stimulate' your readers whenever you can! People like to be challenged, taught or otherwise entertained. Think of yourself as a talk show host on the internet except without being grossly overpaid.

The strength of your blog foundation in most cases is based upon the unique identity you have established through the updates you post. Obviously it all starts with creating content and how you do so since it needs to reflect a certain 'personality' while also accomplishing certain objectives.
The 3 suggestions above identify areas you want to be mindful of when composing any updates for your blogging platform. In doing so you develop and maintain a certain face-identity and/or direction with which people can more readily identify.
The ultimate goal is to develop a more deeply rooted loyalty amongst your readers thereby giving you a much stronger foundation for your blogging platform.

Control Your Stress Levels When Blogging

As a blogger it is important to find ways of relieving stress since much time is spent in front of the computer. Building a blog is an ongoing process that requires a lot of your time and research for creating content with which to update your site. This process contains many variables that contribute to your stress level and if not managed properly can have a negative impact on both your productivity and health!

Here are 3 simple suggestions to help you control your stress levels when blogging to keep you productive and healthy.

1.  Work in Spurts

Work in 'time segments' that allow you to take breaks and remember to do so. If you can create a work environment that allows you to stand and your are physically able to do so it will allow for better circulation. In addition this is generally better for your back as well as your stress while it has also been reported you can think more clearly due to the increased circulation.

2.  Plan Your Work

And of course work your plan but you probably already knew I was going to say that! By doing so you know what you want to do once you touch the keyboard. This cuts down on both your time in front of the computer and your stress. It can get mighty frustrating when you are not making progress or trying to figure out what to do next which of course is the result of not planning ahead. Think about this for a moment, is there really any reason to plant yourself in front of your computer until you know what it is you need to accomplish?

3.  Unplug

Whenever you can do any work such as creating content or planning your post schedule without the computer do so. The change of venue will give you a new perspective while also allowing you to escape the stressful effects of reading off a computer screen. This strains the eyes which promotes tension, headaches and of course contributes to your stress. You'll be surprised how reinvigorated you feel when you do 'plug' back in.

When blogging, if it's something you do a lot of, it is very important to find ways of relieving stress. Building a blog is something that requires a constant effort and a lot of time for creating content you can use to update your platform.
Many hours can easily slip by as you sit in front of your computer all the while your stress levels are increasing for various reasons. The worst part is in many cases you are not even aware your stress is building which is why they call it the silent killer. The 3 suggestions offered above serve to help you better manage the stressful effects of blogging but it is ultimately up to you to take the necessary measures to do so.

Info Blogging - How to Build a Sense of Community With Blog Content for Long Term Success

When composing blog content with the intent of developing a site for long term success it is important to stick to the fundamentals. Since a blogging platform is actually a social site that is highly focused you want to build a sense of community. At the same time however you can not lose sight of the need for creating unique content that maintains its focus on the central theme of your blog. Keeping these points in mind here are 3 suggestions to consider in regards to how and when you update your blogging platform.

1. Quality Not Quantity

By rushing to post frequently you will eventually take away from the 'worthiness' of the updates you post. Remember people are looking for unique content first and foremost and if you don't or can't produce that they will not return. In the long run it is infinitely better to concern yourself more with the quality of what you post. Simply try to maintain a consistent schedule so visitors will come to know what to expect.

2. Nurture Interaction

Always allow and encourage comments since ultimately this is the type environment people are seeking online, one with a sense of community. Think of your blogging platform as a social hangout for those who have an interest in what you write about. The more welcomed and involved they feel the more likely they will want to return and bring their friends or colleagues with them. Encouraging interaction will help to foster such an atmosphere.

3. Stick to The Theme

Over time your adherence to the central theme of your site will attract only 'focused' viewers and this is EXACTLY what you want. In this way visitors to your blogging platform will continue to be satisfied with what you present them and their loyalty will only grow. In addition if your are trying to make money your promotional efforts will be that much more effective. By drifting away from the theme of your site you run the risk of losing readers and all the valuable time and effort it took to earn their loyalty.

The blog content you post should have certain 'intentions' especially if you wanting to develop a popular site over the long term. When you consider that a blogging platform is really a 'miniature' social site it is important to develop a sense of community for visitors. By creating unique content of good quality that focuses on fostering a community atmosphere it will be easier to gain the loyalty of visitors. Over the long haul the loyalty you developed will reflect the measure of your success.

How to Approach SEO Creatively to Your Blog Content

Content, as web marketing people like to say, is king. If your site is poor in content, then search engines probably aren’t going to pay much attention to you, even if you have some good links pointing to your site. And the reason is simple. Search engines know that what people are looking for most of the time is information. And it’s the content of your site that provides information to your visitors.
In order to cater for both your visitors and search engines, your site content should be just as search engine friendly as it is visitor friendly. That means a couple of things.

It's true that a lot has been said and written about SEO by now. Experts choose different styles and different ways to put it: some choose to share strategic advice while others are better at outlining simply SEO tactics and tips. SEO is really an uncomplicated course of action, to attain financial success; you can't simply do what the competition has already accomplished. You have to get creative

Being creative is not a one time thing but rather an ongoing process. Become inventive, grow your personal skills and put them to good use and begin to notice an increase in traffic and growth in your earnings. It is easy to find well-structured information on the right way to do things: how to do keyword research, craft your web copy, structure your website architecture and interlink parts of it. What's really hard to learn is to how approach SEO creatively.

Optimized Content

Once upon a time, search engine friendly content meant keywords. Lots of keywords. There were so many keywords in content, that there wasn’t room for the content. Now days, that’s a fast track to disaster. Keyword stuffing is actively frowned upon by search engines, and they look out for it.

So what is optimized content these days? Simple. It’s content that is about the topic, without attempting to manipulate search engines. Well written SEO articles are self-optimizing. By virtue of the fact that the article is about a specific topic, it should naturally contain the words that are relevant to the topic.
Gradually, over time, (because SEO is never a quick fix), well written content that’s relevant to your site will improve your optimization for the keywords it’s built around, as well as your sites overall credibility.

Writing for SEO

SEO writing is different to regular writing; it is more to the point than creative pieces. This does not mean that you cannot be creative; rather, you need to find your creativity within the SEO framework. SEO writing can be confusing at first, but, good writing needs to be simple, but, engaging. From this point on you should keep the reader and SEO in mind, when you write.

To be ranked highly on the search engines, you need to keep two parties happy, the search engines and the visitors. There is no point in writing content that does not appeal to the majority of humans. So make sure that you grab the reader's attention and ensure that your keyword density is at an effective percentage.

Linking and SEO

Whilst considering writing for and designing your site for SEO, you need to build links to help optimize your site. Make sure that your links have essential keywords and keyword phrases; this can help "spiders" to index and rank your site.

A link is essentially a connection, which ties one web source to another web source. These are also referred to as the source anchor and the destination anchor. Links formulate the web on the internet, which help users move from one site to another. They are an essential part of a website and are also referred to as hyperlinks.

Not only do links create a web for the world-wide web, but, they are essential to optimize your site. Before you understand how linking can optimize your site you need to know what SEO is and understand the importance of it. This makes the benefit of linking clear, as they will help to increase user traffic, which can be converted to sales and profit. Linking is critical to your web marketing achievement

Unique Content Is Crucial

One of the big drives behind the most recent Google algorithm update was an attempt to reduce the amount of duplicate content on the web. Because content is so important, lots of people were using article directories (which provide free content) to add content to their sites. This meant that a lot of people had the same content, and Google couldn’t work out which was original, and which were merely copies. The Panda update made a big dent in the value of article directories though, and these days, putting content on your site that other sites also have can actively harm your rankings.

Internet marketing

When you learn about the world of internet marketing you must make sure you are learning new and improved techniques to be successful. You will know just how to make this happen over time, but you have to begin somewhere. Through implementing all these tactics and tips, you will surely see an increase in your traffic and your earnings.

Optimize Keywords In Corporate Blogs

Numerous firms have started their blog to better engage and connect with their customers. But they do this often in narcissistic lens. In most cases, public relations offices manage social media and content for companies which are good for promoting brand and distributing information.
This is the perhaps a benefit of PR but the disadvantage is often overlooked. Many corporate blogs aren't just boring but also very had to find in search engines. Voice, key messages and timing are considered but the keywords that will drive traffic to the website are often neglected.

Blog, videos and podcast are cost effective ways to enhance traffic to your site. Any internet marketing solution firm can offer these marketing strategies for you.

The Importance of Keywords.

When a person search through a search engine, he usually types in words related to what he is looking for. The results will then show up on the results page with the most relevant site on top of the list. Search engines use keywords to know which sites will most likely show the information that a user is searching for.

As a company, it would be crucial that you know your keywords. For examples, if you have a site about web design, then you may have web design xxx or web design zzz on your keyword list. There are available tools to help you find the right words such as Google Keyword Tool.

Optimize Keywords in Corporate Blogs.

Take some time to research a keyword glossary. Whoever your target audience is, it can be customers, partners, journalists, investors and etc., they all use search for content online. Use a keyword search tool to help you determine which industry related keyword phrases are being used these days. Share this glossary with your content creators as a reference when developing and publishing online content.

Create a plan for blog content.

Starting your very own blog is easy but sustaining it for years isn't. Get into the habit of creating structured and flexible content for your corporate blog.
Decide which days follow a certain format and when to post wildcard entries. Assign keywords and topics to the planned articles, surveys, interviews, company news, live blogging and other types of content. Don't forget to tap into feedback mechanisms such as keyword search traffic, comments, social sharing options, off post citations and links to make sure you are right on track.

Include keywords in your content.

There have been hundreds of how to's on how to optimize web pages but to sum up the guidelines in article writing, it would be helpful to follow a very simple, generalized guideline- find a balance in optimizing content for readers and search engine crawlers. Omit one aspect and expect to lose the other.
Do both efficiently and you will boost your site's traffic and engage your customers. Include optimized keywords in the title tag of your post. The initial words in the title will matter most. Draft a title that is more focused on the reader.

A Variety of Blog Topics for Corporations and Companies

Corporations and companies are constantly on the lookout for blog content writers. Normally these jobs require the equivalent of "fluff" or "blog filler" on their professional websites.

A variety of topics may be covered, and mostly are provided to the writer by the corporation. You may also receive a list of rules, sample style sheet, and writing guidelines. In many cases, the company will give you an outline of what to write about, how often to post, and what pertinent links must be in the blog post.

There are pros and cons of being a ghostwriter for corporations.

The pro of this job is that they are easily found. You can find them by searching freelance journalist sites under the blog categories. You would be surprised at how many companies have jumped on the "blog" bandwagon and need someone to produce constant content.

The cons of these jobs are pay, creativity, and lack of attribution.

The first being the salary compensation may be on the low end. You may be paid per word, or per post, and the pay may not be what you expected as a blog author. In many cases companies are focused on mass production and only looking for filler content. In some cases, outsourcing to other countries may put the median pay scale lower than what you would expect to receive.

The second con is creativity and style. If you are used to personal blogs or blogging about your own product, you may be a creative blogger and more open with your thoughts and feelings. Most corporations do not want this type of blogger, but instead, to follow strict style guidelines. You would be expected to write unemotional posts about products or services. These topics may even bore you to write about or become mundane depending on the topics at hand. You may find yourself talking about car insurance or health care benefits until you are blue in the face and become quickly bored with the job.

The worst part of ghostwriting is just that, your work is not attributed to you in many cases. Even though you may not want the fact you blog about feminine hygiene products on your resume, it is credit that you are not receiving for your hard work.

The cons seem to outweigh the pros, but if you are someone who writes bulk content quickly, this job may be perfect for you. In some cases, you may be able to have your name attached to the article in time, after you have performed much work for the company.

What Does Google+ Mean for Our Site ?

Google+ has been out for over a month now, and incorporating another social media site with your blog can be a daunting task if you are looking for solid results. Thankfully, Google has integrated the +1 feature, compared to the “like” on Facebook. But what benefit is there for a +1 button on our blog or website? Here are some tips and helpful information to better comprehend the advantage of using the Google+ platform and to find results for doing so.

The Google +1 Button

Implementing the Google +1 on our blog is relatively simple. If you want to incorporate +1 along with our other sharing options such as Facebook, Twitter, email, StumbleUpon or others, you can add it as a sharing feature at the bottom of every post on most blogging sites. When someone +1’s something, their friends who see it can follow the +1 to your site. This in turn can generate more traffic to your blog, and it allows those interested in your blog’s focus to see what you have to offer.

If you have more +1’s for your blog, your search ranking is bound to go up. However, be careful. If you hire an outside source or personally +1 all of your content for SEO purposes, there could (and likely will) be a penalty. Sites are now selling +1’s to websites, but Google can still track the spam nature of this practice. As long as you avoid practices such as link farming, there is nothing to worry about.

What does Google plan to do through +1 ?

The announcement of Panda 2.0 in late February to identify low-content pages, or “content farms” impacted about 12 percent of queries in the beginning. Is +1 another method by Google to optimize their search results with more quality content, eliminating low quality results for a better and easier search experience? Perhaps personalized searches will be the wave of the future for Google with +1, as relevancy will be determined by what has been +1ed by a user instead of site rankings and trying to move up in SERPs like the system is currently set up. Preventing scamming, which is already well under way, is important to make +1 an accurate indicator for searches. If that goal is reached, then +1 could be the best way to find content on the web that is most relevant to you.

What does the future hold for +1 ?

Well, we aren’t entirely sure. Google is clearly promoting +1 since it is a Google platform, and Google is the most popular search engine on the web, so it does stand a chance of catching on. However, many people view +1 the same as a Facebook “like” or using the tweet button on Twitter. Since +1 has been around only since March, only the power users are likely to be taking advantage of the new feature at a high level. Of course, these people also tweet links too, so what is the likelihood of them continuing to use both platforms? Sooner or later, a winner will emerge in the sharing battle online. Hopefully for Google’s sake, +1 won’t fall the way of Google Wave and Google Buzz.
